Fairfax, Virginia - MBP is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert C. Hixon, Jr., PE, CCM, LEED AP to Director of Government Services.

As Director of Government Services, Hixon will lead the development of MBP's expanding public sector project portfolio.

Bolyard, Jr., PSP, CFCC, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. "Bob's instrumental knowledge and expertise will help MBP continue to build upon our current success in the government arena."

Prior to joining MBP, Hixon served as Senior Vice President and Director of the Federal Buildings Group for a leading international construction management firm. His experience also includes a distinguished 34-year career in construction and project management in the public sector, first joining the National Capital Region of the General Services Administration (GSA) in 1969 as an engineer trainee. While at GSA, Hixon managed the construction and renovation of some of the region's largest and most prominent facilities, including the Capitol Visitor Center at the U.S. Capitol, and a $1.5 billion per year construction program consisting of new and repair and alteration projects for courthouses, federal buildings, border stations and laboratories nationwide.

Hixon earned his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and also graduated with a Masters in Public Administration from Pepperdine University. He is an active member of many professional associations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, US Green Building Council, and the Construction Management Association of America where he was named a Fellow in 2005.
