Expertise
MBP’s entire practice is devoted to construction management and program management services. We are frequently consulted to assist clients in delivering projects across a wide range of types including transportation, government facilities, municipal buildings, and commercial and private developments.
LEED and "Green Design"
MBP has experience in working with design teams in the selection and implementation of design and technology features in conformance with the requirements of the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. We have then assisted in executing the requirements during construction that result in achieving LEED certification.
Our firm includes several construction professionals certified as LEED accredited professionals with specific expertise in a range of areas including energy management and building systems commissioning. Our design phase involvement combines this specialized expertise with plan and constructibility reviews, contract specification development, cost estimating and life cycle cost analysis in order to fully evaluate building systems and processes associated with LEED compliance.
Our team’s extensive experience includes sustainable site designs, stormwater management and erosion control practices, evaluation of new construction vs. existing building rehabilitation, energy efficiency and renewable energy systems, indoor air quality, environmental balancing, building systems commissioning, hazardous materials abatement, and life cycle cost analysis – all key components of the USGBC LEED program.
Services
- Green building technical consulting: Project-specific and general consulting on planning, site design, water, energy, materials and indoor environmental quality issues for sustainable design and operations. Provide reports and presentations.
- Sustainable design assessment and drawing review: Project review at any stage for sustainable design opportunities and areas of concern. Recommendations and design guidance based on project goals and constraints.
- LEED Green Building Rating System (all versions): Consulting including feasibility assessment, project goal-setting, design integration, technical consulting, project management, documentation coordination and submission to USGBC for certification.
